Back to Live Events

While confined at home, we enable engagement among event participants virtually through our virtual event platform in collaboration with event partners. Though nothing can beat live event interaction, with creativity, the virtual stage had provided enjoyment, learning and celebration to our virtual event attendees.

Learnings while transitioning.

Now easing our way back to live events, we have observed some behavior (post lockdown) that can serve as insights to product/service development:

  1. People are more comfortable with digital interaction. A mobile device (phone) becomes an active component to the event experience! Paper and pen during live event registration is replaced with an event app.
  2. Next to mobile devices, internet connectivity is important. (Almost) Real time information on attendance, event analytics become imperative for event organizers.
  3. More visuals, effects and graphics. Perhaps Netflix, YouTube and TikTok, as constant companions of most people during quarantine, influenced this so-called heightened visual preference.
  4. Being camera-friendly and ready. People got more comfortable facing the camera. They become their “own” photographer and video editor of curated contents. Leveling up the photo booth experience on-site can be a good mix to the program.
  5. Having a QR ID. There was a time when Pass (QR) IDs were presented to the guard at the entrance of an establishment. The ID needs to be scanned before coming in. This practice is carried over to live events. Creating and presenting an EVENT ATTENDANCE QR ID seemed to be a regular journey.

  7. Enabling introverts through technology. The pandemic has empowered introverts to enjoy the solitude of their space while staying productive. Now that social events are gaining back their momentum, will extroverts be the only ones energized? Perhaps not, mixing the live activity with digital interaction on mobile devices may offer a bit of solace to those who want to keep interaction at a minimum. Still wanting to limit exposure, a hybrid set-up to events can still be an option.

STAYING RELEVANT is the key to our transition. From being our event partner’s virtual event platform provider, we are now customizing applications to support registration and event engagements.
